Berry Recruitment are currently seeking a Head Chef for our client based in Bedford.Role Overview: As a Head Chef, you will lead food preparation to enhance our client's reputation for quality, ensure compliance with regulations, drive sales with menu plans and promotions, and deliver high-quality service to clients and customers.Hourly Rate: £16-£19 per hour Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8am-4pm) - Occasional weekends.Responsibilities:Build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Plan events and seasonal menus within budget.Conduct kitchen audits and manage stock effectively.Address and escalate safeguarding concerns as needed.Organise regular meetings with kitchen team and management.Maintain a positive and motivated kitchen environment.Ensure team members are trained and competent.Requirements:Excellent culinary skills and leadership qualities.Business management experience in a kitchen setting.Qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1, 2, NVQ Level 2.Experience in a similar leadership role.Passion for food and customer service.Knowledge of budgeting and achieving GP.Food Hygiene Certificate.Enhanced DBS certificate required.If you are interested and hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate, apply online todayPlease note that no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate on the grounds of a person's gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
