We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Buyer to join a leading Formula One team on a short-term contract. This role is critical in ensuring the timely procurement of high-performance components and materials required for race car development and operations. You will work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to source parts that meet stringent technical specifications and delivery deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the procurement of technical components, raw materials, and assemblies for Formula One car development. Liaise with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into supplier specifications. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, lead times, or compliance. Maintain accurate purchase orders and ensure adherence to team procurement policies. Support urgent build schedules and race deadlines by expediting critical parts. Contribute to cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or performance.Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience as a Technical Buyer within motorsport, automotive, aerospace, or a similar high-performance engineering environment. Strong understanding of technical drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.DesirablePrevious experience within Formula One or top-tier motorsport teams.
