Role Overview: 

As the Lead/Principal Software Engineer, you will lead the engineering direction for both Found and WTTB. This dual leadership role involves managing complex, highly scalable systems and e-commerce platforms, ensuring the development teams are aligned, and that we're building robust, future-proof products. 

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across both businesses, lead technical discussions, and influence the architecture to meet both creative and business goals. 


Responsibilities: 

·      Lead and mentor engineering teams across both Found and WTTB. 

·      Architect scalable and flexible systems, focusing on high availability and low latency for both content creators and print businesses. 

·      Oversee end-to-end implementation of product features from ideation to production. 

·      Collaborate with product and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

·      Guide the modernisation of WTTB’s e-commerce platform and improve its print delivery infrastructure. 

·      Enhance Found's platform by introducing new services and improving existing workflows 

·      Ensure code quality and technical excellence, applying best practices for software development, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies. 

·      Facilitate knowledge-sharing between teams working on Found and WTTB to leverage synergies. 


Tech Stack: 

·      Backend: Node.js, REST APIs**,** Microservices architecture (via Inngest functions) 

·      Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind, Vue.js 

·      Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis 

·      Infrastructure: Terraform, AWS, CI/CD, Vercel, Serverless 

·      E-commerce: CommerceTools, Stripe, integrations with Amazon and TikTok shops 


Qualifications: 

·      Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role, preferably as a Lead or Principal Software Engineer. 

·      Extensive experience in building scalable systems and platforms 

·      Expertise in event-driven architectures, cloud-based infrastructure, microservices, and API-driven systems. 

·      Strong proficiency with modern software development languages and frameworks 

·      Familiarity with IaaC technologies like Terraform 

·      Solid understanding of web technologies, performance optimisation, and large-scale system design. 

·      Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with business and product teams. 

·      Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and grow engineering teams.
