About the role:

  1. Develop high-speed silicon photodetectors (PDs) optimized for microLED-based multi-terabit-per-second communications.
  2. Hiring for multiple roles including junior to senior engineers and management.
  3. Various disciplines/specializations related to high-speed silicon photodetectors:
    1. Design
    2. Fabrication
    3. Characterization
    4. Reliability/quality
  4. Work closely with volume manufacturing partners to enable high-volume manufacturing ramp.

Qualifications:

  1. BS, MS or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics.
  2. Relevant industry experience in PD development.
  3. Understanding of semiconductor device physics and semiconductor characterization techniques (SIMS, XRD, SEM, TEM, etc.).
  4. Experience with design and test of high-speed optoelectronics.
  5. Familiarity with semiconductor wafer fabrication processes (photo lithography, thin film metal deposition, dielectrics, wet/dry etching, etc.).
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills, working with or managing peers, engineers, and technicians.
  7. Ability to present and communicate complex scientific findings and drive equally complex engineering solutions.
  8. Ability to overcome unforeseen challenges in a dynamic work environment with shifting timelines.
