Service Design Specialist

Reporting to the Lead Service Design and Transition Manager as a Service Design Specialist you will play an important role in the Service Delivery Lifecycle within GFIT Application Services function by utilising best-practice assessment analysis and design techniques to create or amend BAU support processes which will support new or changing services delivered through the IT Portfolio of change. You will be responsible for the delivery of Service Design activities across larger or complex projects and programmes. This includes working with suppliers and service teams to ensure compliance with the service design process. You will ensure processes are fit for purpose and any risks and issues are documented effectively communicated and accepted prior to Transitioning into BAU support.. What youll be doing:Designing and delivering service support processes aligned with best practice and strategic goalsCollaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure service design complianceEvaluating cost and resource impacts to BAU teams and communicating uplift requirementsProducing service support artefacts including procedures tooling and knowledge documentationBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective deliveryContributing to the GFIT Service Catalogue throughout the service lifecycleMaintaining and improving the Service Design Framework policies and proceduresSupporting the implementation of the Service Design and Transition RoadmapQualifications : Who were looking for:Demonstrable experience in IT Service Design or Transition within a regulated environmentStrong understanding of ITSM platforms Agile Waterfall and SDLC methodologiesITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience (Service Design/Transition desirable)IT Operations experienceStrong organisational skills and attention to detailA proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvementWhatever your role we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
