We have around 70 staff and well over 150 successful projects in the membership associate, institutes, regulator, trade union and charity marketplace. Our aim is to make a difference within the NfP industry. We have seen over a 50% growth in the last 2 years, with plans to continue on this growth with additions in every single area/ department within the business. You will be joining our Development team of around 20 people and our Architect team of around 4 people.


About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Dynamics 365 Technical Architect in the traditional Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) arena. The successful applicant will be a proficient software developer with a strong background in developing C# components for Dynamics 365 and Azure, employing best practices such as SOLID principles and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Experience in designing and developing products and accelerators is highly desirable. They should be adept at using early binding in their software development and have a solid track record of writing unit tests, utilising tools such as FakeXrmEasy.


In this role, you will have significant design and architecture responsibilities, including implementing Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, and Azure solutions. You will be expected to create robust, scalable, and high-performance architectures that meet business requirements and ensure seamless integration across platforms. Your role will involve defining technical standards, ensuring adherence to best practices, and providing technical leadership to the development team.


Additionally, you will play a crucial role in technical leadership, mentoring and guiding other developers, and ensuring that the team's output meets the highest standards. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining a collaborative and innovative environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive technical solutions aligned with business objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Provide guidance from a technical perspective for business decisions, to the team and customers.
  • Define and document system architecture, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Create and Architect Azure solutions such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps, Azure Service Bus and Azure API management.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, assess their relevance, and make recommendations for adoption.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 CE/ Power Platform Architect or similar role.
  • Expertise in Dynamics 365, C# development and Azure Development.
  • Proficiency in using Azure DevOps and implementing CI/CD.
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented software development and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with early binding, creating custom Dataverse components, Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with proper ALM and SDLC practices for deploying Dataverse solutions.
  • Beneficial to have experiences with CMS’s (Kentico and or Umbraco) or experiences around various Accelerator tools.
