Quality Engineer Rugby Mon-Fri 7am-3.30pm £38,000 - £43,000Quality Engineer The RoleWorking as part of a wider team, you will be responsible for quality engineering initiatives on my clients manufacturing & service facility in Rugby. Projects can be multi-generational, offering you the chance to build your career in a stable, busy and expanding business. Please note, due to the work undertaken with UK Defence customers, individuals will need to be capable of getting SC Level clearance, be a British Citizen and hold a valid British Passport. This position would be ideal for somebody who has worked in a heavy engineering / manufacturing industry.Quality Engineer Main ResponsibilitiesLead, develop, coach factory staff on key competencies acc. to the needs Ownership for internal NCR/RCA & CAPA plan development & implementation. Investigation of NCRs. Ownership for implementation of improvement actions resulting from quality plans and customer feedback through continuous improvement. Ensure full document control and compliance to the project quality plans throughout project execution. Clearing material quality records against their associated quality specifications in co-ordination with team members. Support in creating quality record sheets for the collection of CTQ data to meet the project specific quality plan. Ensure completed quality records from the shop floor are verified, collated and processed to the appropriate project folder and location. Ensure NCR paperwork is completed, and additional quality records are added to the appropriate project folder and location. Support customer meetings when required. Support Q-framework, QMS and ISO audits as required. Support regulatory compliance and optimization of quality systems procedures. Support proactive risk identification/mitigation to achieving project quality objectives. Review supplier documentation when required, ensuring that contractual elements are met. Work with CI team to drive sustainable process changes. Lead or support RCA's & CAPA plans for external defects.Quality Engineer The CandidateMust be from a heavy engineering / manufacturing environment. Must hold Engineering qualifications, Bachelors level would be adventitious. Proven expertise in customer resolution & preventive tools, ISO knowledge Demonstrable experience within a production or Manufacturing environment is essential for this role Knowledge of long turning / machining processes is beneficial. Knowledge of welding process is beneficial but not essential. Knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production part Approval Process) would be hugely beneficial for this role. Must be a team player willing to sacrifice individual goals when needed. Six Sigma Green Belt would be advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of RCA and CAPA tools and techniques. Knowledge of Lean and/or alternative continuous improvement methods. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Excellent attention to detail with an organised approach to work. Strong computer skills and IT literacy. Quality inspection career progression route would be ideal. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings. Must have appreciation for ERP / MPR systems, ideally SAP or PLM.INDABTPBN1_UKTJ
