NXTGEN is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Bookkeeper & Payroller for a small but growing Accountancy practice North of Norwich. As the new Bookkeeper & Payroller you will join a fantastic team of down to earth individuals who all share the same work ethic and love for their job This practice has seen significant growth and have had to upsize their office again due to the demand from new and existing local clients. As the new Bookkeeper & Payroller you will receive 121 support from Senior staff and a hands-on Partner, who believes a work life balance is incredibly important. This role will be tailored around your needs, hours, and flexibility as they believe everyone's requirements are different and it's important to the lead Partner that his staff are happy and can manage their workload.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for a varied role and wanting to be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities tailored to your interests. You will support and manage all bookkeeping duties, VAT and Tax Returns, payroll, and management accounts for a diverse client portfolio. As your confidence grows, you will take on more ownership of these tasks as you wish. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for further training, and internal development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all Bookkeeping duties for a wide range of clients.
  • Prepare Tax and VAT returns.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end payroll clients.
  • Develop strong working relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Provide timely support for clients' ad hoc queries.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Chartered Accountants/Bureau environment is preferred due to the hands-on client work involved.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft packages.

Salary is dependant on experience.
