SC Cleared Senior SharePoint SME


Methods are looking for a Senior SharePoint SME to work on an initial 12 month programme of work. The role will be completed with a hybrid way of working, with the successful candidate needing to be able to be onsite on occasion at either the Milton Keynes or Central London office location.

The role has been confirmed to fall outside of IR35.


This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK. If you are unable to meet this and any associated criteria, then your employment may be delayed, or rejected . Details of this will be discussed with you at interview

Scope and Objectives

There are currently four distinct work packages that the Senior Infrastructure Operations M365 Sharepoint SME will be responsible for delivering:


1. The creation, or update of, our Microsoft 365 tenant design documentation to reflect the current as-is configuration ready for presentation to the relevant approval committees.

2. Information Transformation, pre-migration tasks to ready the migration of information stored on the S, W, M drives and SharePoint 2019.

3. Tactical Phase 1 tasks to enable the migration of the corporate and customer information to our Services Microsoft 365 tenant. These tasks will be documented by the Project Manager and the relevant KIM SMEs.

4. Ad-hoc Microsoft 365 tasks in relation to Programme Tactical Phase 1.

5. Ad-hoc Microsoft 365 tasks assigned by the Microsoft 365 Team Lead in support of wider team objectives.


Essential Skills

- Proven experience of delivering enterprise-wide corporate change and technology programs.

- Specific experience of the Microsoft Cloud stack, with SharePoint specialism.

- Experience of working within government.

- Proven ability to engage with Senior executive stakeholders.

- Proven track record of delivery at pace and in an agile methodology.

- A professional standard of documentation creation, and the ability to present to peers and senior leadership level.
