We are seeking to recruit legally qualified Investigation Committee Panel (ICP) chairs for the Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service (HCPTS). The HCPTS is the fitness to practise adjudication service of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). As an ICP Chair you will hear and determine cases on behalf of the HCPTS's Investigating Committee. This role will involve considering a number of different cases on the day. You will be required to prepare in advance of the ICP and have strong leadership and written skills. You will need to commit to a minimum of two days per month, in addition to any mandatory training, to ensure skills and competencies are retained. All applicants must meet the criteria set out in the Information for Applicants. The length and notice given for ICP panels are variable but can work around most working patterns. We pay a rate of £522 per day sitting as an ICP chair as well as travel and accommodation expenses in accordance with the HCPC Partner Expense Policy. Please note that the fee takes into consideration and includes preparation and reading time.
