- Minimum ATT qualified: Demonstrates a solid foundation in tax and accounting principles.
- Commercially driven: Focus on delivering a high level of customer service.
- Highly organised: Work in a logical, methodical, time-efficient, and accurate manner.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills: Efficiently manage time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills: Exhibit clear and effective verbal and written communication.
- Independent and team player: Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Professionalism and integrity: Maintain a high level of ethical standards.
- Adaptable and eager to learn: Open to evolving responsibilities and tasks.
With great variation during your working week, you will be constantly kept on your toes with numerous responsibilities which entail:
- Portfolio Management: Manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Client and HMRC Liaison: Regularly communicate with clients and HMRC to address queries and issues.
- Work Oversight: Oversee and review the work of junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Training and Development: Assist in the training and development of junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Tax Return Preparation: Prepare Self-Assessment Tax Returns and Capital Gains Tax Property Returns.
- Client Care: Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional service.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrate expertise in tax and accounting principles.
- Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to supervise and develop trainees.
- Tax Compliance Management: Assist the Tax Manager in managing tax compliance for a portfolio of personal tax clients.
