Our long-standing reputation speaks to the trust and reliability weve built within the healthcare sector.Job Description:Our Client is seeking compassionate and motivated Support Workers to join our dedicated team based in Fermanagh Cookstown and Strabane areas providing holistic person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities autism and associated mental health needs. You will play a vital role in supporting people to live meaningful independent lives; ensuring their dignity rights and individuality are respected at all times.This will be a permanent post requiring full time hours (Monday-Sunday) on shift rotation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide holistic day-to-day support in line with individual needs assessments.Deliver person-centred empowering care that promotes independence and self-determination.Assist with all aspects of personal care maintaining respect privacy and dignity.Ensure the Human Rights of each service user are upheld with integrity and respect.Maintain a safe clean and supportive environment at all times.Promote each individuals wishes preferences skills and abilities supporting them to live life to their fullest potential.Encourage social inclusion supporting service users to be valued members of their community.Provide accurate and accessible information to enable informed decision-making.Work in the least restrictive and most enabling way supporting positive risk-taking.Use a low-arousal non-aversive approach to behaviour support.Support service users to achieve personal outcomes with clear goals and timeframes.Prioritise supports meet key commitments and work in line with evidence-based practice.Maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene food safety and infection control.Accurately complete all daily records risk assessments reports and documentation.Administer and document medication safely following the 10 Rights of Medication Administration.Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of service users medications and finances as per policy.Adhere to all policies procedures and regulatory frameworks (including RQIA standards).Participate in team meetings reviews and multidisciplinary discussions sharing feedback and observations appropriately.Contribute positively and professionally to the staff team and wider organisation.Essential Requirements:A relevant third-level qualification (or equivalent) in Social Care or a related disciplineRegistered with NISCC as a Social Care WorkerExperience in a similar care setting (e.g. Residential Domiciliary or Day Services).Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities autism or complex behaviours.Competence in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems (Word Excel SharePoint).A full driving licence valid for use in Ireland/UK.Right to Work in the UK/IrelandDesirable Requirements:Experience as a Key Worker or in a leadership role within a care setting.Experience supporting adults with complex needs or behaviours of concern in community settings.Knowledge and experience implementing RQIA Minimum Standards.Further training or certification in Safety Intervention(formerly MAPA) or similar frameworks.What we Offer:Comprehensive induction and ongoing trainingCareer progression opportunities within a growing organisationA supportive and inclusive team environmentFlexible working patterns to suit your lifestyleOpportunities to make a genuine impact on peoples lives every dayTo ApplySubmit your contact details and CV via the APPLY buttonStay in the loop with all our internal job postings by registering for our new Direct Medics Connect serviceBy joining youll be the first to hear about upcoming roles and remain part of our active talent pool.Register now on ConnectAH123ENG Key Skills Abinitio,Lotus Notes,Advocacy,Apache Tomcat,Informatica,Interpretation Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Yearly Salary Salary: 31050 - 35300
