Night Cleaner positions available to join Lancashire Council's Waste Recycling Team at their operation based in Thornton, Blackpool. You do not require previous experience to apply.

These positions are available to start on Mon 9th December 2024 and initially are offered on a 13-week temp basis with the option of permanent employment following a satisfactory probation period.

Start dates from the 18 Nov 2024

Pay: £12.33 per hour increasing to £12.93 per hour from 1st January 2025

Overtime Monday to Saturday paid at £18.50 per hour for hours worked over 37.5 hours and £24.66 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours:

Shift: - 8am - 4pm for first weeks training and then 22:00 - 06:00 Monday to Friday

Location: Thornton - FY5 4LH

JOB ROLE:

  • Perform on-site waste processing.
  • Housekeeping and general cleaning of your work area.
  • Providing hands on support as required for all business functions of waste processing operations.
  • Maintaining health and safety around the site.
  • Ability to work in an environment with odours, dust and dirt.
  • Night Cleaners: Ensuring work areas are clean & tidy following the morning and afternoon shifts. Brushing, emptying rubbish.

The roles are temp to perm for the right candidates with superb benefits for permanent colleagues including:

  • Death in service cover at 4 times basic salary
  • Pension matched up to 5%
  • Sickness paid up to 20 weeks and increasing to 26 weeks from 1st January 2025
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • 34 days (inclusive of bank holidays) holiday increasing to 38 days (inclusive of bank holidays) with length of service.
