We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer - Cell Assembly & FA&T for our client, an innovative UK-based manufacturing business specializing in sustainable battery production for electric vehicles. The successful candidate will lead process development, equipment optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


The Senior Engineer - Cell Assembly & FA&T will:

  • Lead the adoption, development, and optimisation of cell assembly and FA&T processes.
  • Ensure implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency, repeatability, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Specify, evaluate, and qualify new cell assembly and FA&T equipment.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors to ensure machinery meets production and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM) to support the new product introduction (NPI).
  • Use statistical process control (SPC) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) to monitor process stability.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping, to improve efficiency.


The Senior Engineer - Cell Assembly & FA&T will have:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing methodologies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience (3 years with Masters degree) in engineering manufacturing, automotive or associated sectors.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Clear, concise communication skills with attitude towards building team spirit.
