We have a great opportunity for a creative menswear designer to work with us on our brands including ST95, Left Hand, Hikerdelic and several new brand developments in the branded jacket market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for heritage, outdoor and streetwear inspired brands, already working in the branded, menswear market, you will take full responsibility for the design, development and sourcing of the ranges. As a fast-moving business, we have moved towards an on-going product “drop” model and you will be responsible for the development and management of the critical path, to ensure that design and sampling deadlines are met. This role needs ‘hands on’ design skills and you’ll be keen to do your own trend and competitor research including tradeshow visits and comp shops, you will be responsible for range planning for the brands. It is also imperative that you have strong relationships with suppliers and you will have the ability to complete detailed tech packs, negotiate and agree prices with suppliers, you will develop samples from the first prototypes through to photo samples including fit reviews. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years design experience within the branded menswear sector, you will be an enthusiastic, creative individual, with the ability to translate trends, and inspire the collections. It is also important that you are well organised, to enable you to manage the critical path process from concept through to sampling and ultimately production. The role will be split between our offices in Manchester and our head office in Northwich, Cheshire. In terms of technical skills, you will be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator) and Microsoft Office.
