Are you an experienced QS or Senior Qs?Proven background in new build housing?Do you live within a commutable distance of Exeter?Joining a forwarding thinking employer who have been recognised with a number of awards Seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable quantity surveyor or senior quantity surveyor to join their team. Reporting to the Commercial Director whilst overseeing 2 projects, typically sites range from 60 – 100 + units. You will take full commercial responsibility for the sites including - subcontractor management, financial reporting, cost control, variations and payment recommendations, valuations, identifying risk, CVR reporting and final account etc.The company in question are a cash positive business, with an excellent pipeline of secured work due to start and several live sites. They maintain an excellent reputation in the market for managing their supplychain fairly and ethically. Applicants should possess the following experience and attributes:A housing development background is essential with either a contractor or developer.Experience of running your own projectsStrong commercial awarenessGood knowledge of building regsExperience of undertaking CVRsIdeally experienced in different forms of contractAccustomed to running your own scheme/sIdeally qualified to degree or HNC level in Construction or Quantity Surveying or working towardsExcellent communication skillsStrong negotiation skillsFully IT literateStrong reporting skillsA team playerOrganisedIn return the company can offer a competitive salary DOE plus full package and excellent benefits.
