Were already on site supporting the completion of an existing project and were due to land new projects on site in 2025 as we continue to demonstrate to our client just what MMB is all about.As a Senior Mechanical Engineer youll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities - enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems.You will play a pivotal role in shaping the mechanical functions throughout the lifecycle of various projects. From concept design to commissioning you will ensure that all mechanical aspects are meticulously considered and integrated.The role of a Senior Mechanical Engineer includes:Lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects through the outline and detailed design construction commissioning and handover including but not limited to P&IDs valve schedules pump calculations defining safe access and lifting arrangements above ground pipework layouts etc.Coordinate with the project team comprising of Electrical Civil Geotech and Process designers and ensure designs are completed on programme within budget and to the quality defined by framework specificationsWorking closely and collaboratively with the commercial operational and construction teams to develop efficient practical and safe solutions throughout design stages construction and beyondPositively engage with the client managing relationships and adopting a one-team approach to supporting them in achieving their aimsSupporting the development of the mechanical engineering team coaching and mentoring engineers to develop their skill set and identifying the correct resource for the projectsWhat youll need:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldChartered or incorporated member of professional institution e.g ICE IMechE etcor equivalent experienceAbility to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholdersMethodical approach to problem solvingA valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational regionWhat we can offer:At Mott MacDonald Bentley you will be offered a competitive salary which is commensurate based on your experience.
