Excellence matters.What You'll DoThe linchpin connecting technical vision with practical implementation and team deliveryDrive the design, evolving and ensuring the long-term health and scalability of our core systemsCreate high-level and detailed architectural designs for new features and write high-quality, performant Python APIsDrive and own technical architecture discussions and decisions for the platformLead the deployment and release process, ensuring stability and performanceOwn the design and maintenance of the backend APIs delivered to the frontend teamsTriage bug reports and implement urgent hotfixes as neededCollaborate across the stack with ML, Backend, and Frontend engineers to deliver high-quality, end-to-end featuresPartner directly with the Product Team to understand requirements, refine the roadmap, and shape the product from a technical perspectiveCoordinate and align the entire backend team's efforts for technical consistencyDesign and implement core features and services, leveraging technologies such as Python and SQLMaintain a high standard of code quality, performance, and scalability within the codebaseRequirements7+ years of experience with Python web development5+ years of experience working with Postgres or an equivalent SQL databaseExcellent understanding of Python and contemporary backend architecturesExcellent English communication skills, both spoken and writtenGreat eye for detail and precision.
