  • Product Backlog Ownership: Take charge of the product backlog, managing the discovery and refinement process of stories, advancing options, and applying a value-based prioritization approach.
  • Story Decomposition: Break down epics and features into detailed stories to achieve the product vision or targets, prioritizing and elaborating on these stories to meet the definition of ready.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the product owner and relevant stakeholders to clarify acceptance criteria and business logic. Provide delivery options for decision-making based on value and coach stakeholders on agile product management practices.
  • Business Needs Analysis: Collaborate with business teams and end users to review and understand business needs, shaping them within the product backlog. Add value through problem-solving by identifying gaps and inefficiencies in current processes, procedures, and operating models, and recommending or designing optimal future states.


Experience Required:


  • Payment Value Chain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the payment value chain, and regulations, and extensive experience with agile methodologies and common tooling.
  • Domain Expertise: Experience with SWIFT, SEPA, and other UK payment infrastructures (BACS, CHAPS).
  • Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with payment regulatory and compliance requirements, such as payment screening.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with SQL and big data for self-sufficient analysis tasks. Python experience is advantageous.
  • Design Thinking: Proficient in design thinking focused on requirement creation.
  • Value Management: Expertise in value management and prioritization techniques using modern software development toolsets, including DevOps, continuous integration, and delivery.
  • Process Documentation: Ability to produce process documentation, including process maps, flow diagrams, requirement specifications, functional designs, and feature stories, following industry-standard modelling approaches.
  • Project Experience: Demonstrated experience working as a business analyst on large-scale software development projects, with experience in full-lifecycle deliveries.
