Principal Antenna Design Engineer (RF/ Electronics)

Copello are pleased to be partnered with a major defence organisation based nearby to High Wycombe recruiting for a Principal Antenna Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Antenna Design Engineer will be joining an established team, delivering high profile projects working on innovative solutions and products (including GNSS Anti-Jam Systems) for demanding aerospace and defence environments. Managing the full development lifecycle, the Antenna Design Engineer will lead from requirements capture, system level design, concept development, simulation, prototyping, optimisation and verification.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
- Supporting the generation of new business, inputting on technical bids and developing concept designs, task estimation and generating proposals
- Design, develop and test RF products
- Conduct electromagnetic simulations to optimise performance
- Generate documentation to support product development and verification
- Support the qualification and review of designs to requirements (including formal testing and analysis)
- Line management of a small team of Antenna, RF and Electronic Engineers
The successful Antenna Engineer must have experience in the following areas;
- Strong theoretical and practical RF Experience
- Fully converse with RF Principles, transmission line theory and antenna theory
- Familiarly of electromagnetic solvers (CST MWS, FEKO, HFSS)
- RF Test and measure equipment such as Vector Network analysers and spectrum analysers
- Antenna design and active/ passive RF and Microwave circuit design
- Antenna test ranges/ anechoic chambers
- GNSS, GPS and anti-jam systems
- Degree in Electronics, RF or similar engineering discipline
This opportunity is to join an established and leading business unit and will require a passionate engineer keen to be involved in new technology development and leading the way in the industry.
The position is based nearby to High Wycombe and does require onsite presence Monday- Thursday.
It is an essential requirement to be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
