We are hiring for Solution Architect – Card Account Migration for our client's project based at Knutsford, UK – 2 days per week Onsite


What You'll Do:

  • Lead the design and execution of the Card Account Migration initiative: Develop a comprehensive architectural vision and end-to-end design for migrating card accounts across Cards & Payment, Application Integration, Acquiring, and Issuing systems.
  • Drive solution impact assessments: Orchestrate assessments to identify potential risks and benefits of proposed solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Own key capabilities/technologies: Become the subject matter expert for specific capabilities or technologies related to the migration. Define the roadmap, direction, and ongoing support for these areas, guaranteeing adherence to Bank standards.
  • Champion architectural governance: Uphold architectural standards and strategies by providing guidance and oversight for project execution.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships: Cultivate collaborative relationships with senior business stakeholders across all levels to understand their needs and ensure successful migration.
  • Foster collaboration with technical peers: Establish strong working relationships with the CTO and other Transaction Cycle architects to share knowledge and drive collective success.


Technical Expertise:

  • Proven track record in real-world architecture: Demonstrate extensive practical experience in defining, documenting, and delivering enterprise-wide technical solutions.
  • In-depth application and API architecture knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of applications, API architecture principles (RAML, SOAP, etc.), service definition, and web service implementation, including external API exposure.
  • End-to-end solution architecting experience: Have a proven history of architecting comprehensive solutions encompassing software/application architecture and integration.


Good to have:

  • Proven ability to manage complex IT delivery programs: Demonstrate competence in executing substantial IT delivery programs from inception to completion.
  • Solution/Enterprise Architect training and certifications: Possess relevant certifications like TOGAF or BCS, further solidifying your architectural expertise.
  • Java/Java Enterprise knowledge: Familiarity with Java/Java Enterprise technologies will be a plus.
