About the roleWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Development Assessment Planner to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the assessment of a wide range of development proposals and subdivision certificates assist with customer enquiries and gain invaluable professional development experience working within a multi-disciplinary assessment team.While applicants are not expected to have experience presenting to Local Planning Panels State and Regional Planning Panels or Urban Design Review Panels applicants are encouraged to outline any experience or exposure they have had to these Panels within their application. We are achieving this through quality and sustainable development outcomes.Our talented and dedicated team of planning and building professionals is responsible for development assessment certification and fire safety.We are the heart of the New West and were building a City of the future join usEssential criteriaA tertiary qualification in PlanningPractical experience in the assessment or understanding of a range of Development ApplicationsProven ability in providing customer service planning advice and guidanceSound knowledge of Environmental Legislation relevant to NSWCurrent Class C Drivers LicenceDesirable criteriaPrevious Local Government experienceCommencing salary:$92765.00 with performance progression up to $107380.00 plus 12% Superannuation.You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
