Job Title: Missile Mechanical ArchitectLocation: HertfordshireSalary: Up to £60,000 (depending on experience)Security Clearance: Up to SC levelThe Role:So, what will you be doing as a Missile Mechanical Architect? * Analysing the overall product structure, mechanical interfaces, and architecture * Conducting architectural trade-offs in collaboration with key stakeholders * Promoting adherence to key design principles such as modularity, reusability, and design for assembly * Assessing technology maturity and design complexity at the missile level * Defining hardware requirements at the missile level * Providing support during product design and program phase gate reviews * Managing technical relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery * Tracking and managing assigned budgets effectivelyWhat are we looking for in our next Missile Mechanical Architect? * Ideally educated to degree level, or equivalent experience * Experience of electro-mechanical & mechanical design * Experience developing proving logic and leading the generation of compliance evidence * Dedication to work towards delivery timelines and budgets * We are also interested in a good awareness of broader engineering fields, such as Materials, Tolerancing, Configuration Control, Vibration, Shock, Fatigue, Six Sigma & Lean Design, Systems Engineering V-model, DFMEAThis really is a fantastic opportunity for a Missile Mechanical Architect to progress their career.
