Architectural Technician

Punchard Group are a Derbyshire-based company with a wealth of knowledge from a range of property backgrounds. Our team is equipped to manage entire projects, from start to finish, using our extensive experience working within both the public and private sectors.
We have built and maintained excellent working relationships with our local authorities, something on which we pride ourselves. This role is ideally suited to somebody who has previous worked in a local authority planning environment, with experience of making amendments to applications.
We specialise in a range of developments and services, including:
- Rural planning including barn conversions
- Equestrian planning and farm workers' dwellings
- Planning advice and design
- Building control advice and submissions
- Surveys and reports
- Project management
- Personalised Interior Design service
- Home store
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to develop detailed architectural drawings and designs using software such as SolidWorks, Rhinoceros 3D, Schematics, Sketchup, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and 3ds Max.
- Liaising with local councils and amending planning applications.
- Create accurate and precise architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Develop construction documents including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and measurements for design purposes.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure accurate implementation of design plans.
- Prepare presentations and visualisations for client meetings.
- Levels plans and surveys, splay surveys.
- 3d GIS
Experience:
- Proficiency in architectural software such as SolidWorks, Rhinoceros 3D, Schematics, Sketchup, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and 3ds Max.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles and design concepts.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Note:
Experience in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is essential for this role.
