With 16 production sites and 9 R&D centers we support over 1500 customers worldwide Reference 2025-1699 Job Family / Sub-familyIndustrial - MaintenanceContract typePermanentJob titleMechanical Technician M/F/DPosition Context:The position expedites mechanical maintenance activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans safety management systems and best working practices in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and Business Objectives to ensure that the performance and availability of mechanical systems meets the standards required to achieve safety production and environmental targets for the Middlesbrough and Billingham sites.Main tasks : Implementing planned maintenance tasks and repairing equipment on as needed basisCarrying out planned preventative maintenance activitiesIdentifying faults in order to carry out simple and/or complex repairsProvide technical & troubleshooting support to company personnel in mechanical matters including breakdownsBeing a key member of the on call rota system & providing out of hours on call support to both sitesImplementing plant improvements as identified by the Maintenance ManagersDaily input into the computerised maintenance management systemCompliance with Health Safety & Environmental management policies Required skills :Ideal candidate would have 5 years relevant experience in a maintenance role on a COMAH upper tier chemical manufacturing plantAs a minimum the successful candidate should have a recognized apprenticeship or mechanical fitting/engineering qualificationMust be familiar with repair of pumps valves and general chemical plant processing equipmentExperience in inspection and repair of rotating equipmentMust be eligible to work in the UK and have full UK driving licenseExcellent communication and interpersonal skills self-motivated with a good team ethicAt Seqens Custom Specialties we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
