If you join us you can play your part as a Technical Specialist at our Ruislip site near West London.The roleAs a Technical Specialist youll be at the heart of our 21-year partnership with the London Fire Brigade a role thats as rewarding as it is vital. Youll help keep one of the worlds most iconic emergency services operational by maintaining and servicing a diverse fleet of vehicles including cutting-edge electric fire engines and aerial platforms.This is more than just a job its a chance to make a real difference every day. Youll develop your skills in a dynamic hands-on environment working with advanced technology and equipment that supports frontline emergency response.Day-to-day youll be required to: Diagnose faults and test vehicles using recognised procedures and equipment including road testing when necessary Work efficiently to meet productivity targets agreed with your supervisor or manager Deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance ensuring a Fix First Time approach Service and repair a wide range of vehicles including HGVs LGVs and specialist fire equipment Operate within legal driving parameters and maintain a safe working environmentThis role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based on site at Ruislip. Hours of work will typically be 06:00-14:30 and 13:00-22:00 Monday to Friday. Flexible shift patterns are available to accommodate individuals.Essential experience of the Technical Specialist: Previous experience in mechanical workshops or automotive manufacturing environments Proven background in servicing and repairing HGVs or LGVs A proactive team-oriented approach to workQualifications for the Technical Specialist: NVQ Level-3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Holding a Category B and/or C Drivers License is desirableSecurity ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
