Youll be working for one of the market leadersDuties & Responsibilities: Dealing with multiple drivers Communicating with ports Booking delivery slots for entry in ports Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time Rerouting jobs as and when is needed Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system Speaking to customers on possible delays advising etWe are looking for candidates to apply who have the following: Previous experience as a Transport Operator Essential Confident and clear communicator written and verbal Excellent UK geographical knowledge Can work on own initiative Quick and efficient problem solving skills Organised at all times Flexibility to meet the demands of the businessThe CompanyFounded in 2001 by Executive Chairman John Williams Maritime Transport has evolved from small beginnings into a leading logistics company with a turnover exceeding 400m.To date the company employs 3000 personnel across 40 sites including a network of strategic rail freight terminals with a cutting-edge fleet of 1300 Euro-6 trucks and over 50 container handlers servicing a number of trains daily.
