Job Description SummaryAs part of the materials management team you will be responsible for the movement of materials within SAP providing support to one of the main product lines at the site.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Guide and co-ordinate the PA activity to allow work patterns which meet the Gate closure inline with customer commit requirements.Expedite internal material from CRW/ABU/Stores /Stores Inspection in-line with engine build program.Co-ordinate the delivery information from all sources and provide the focal point for engine material accumulation.Accountable for the business launch dates for product being met.Continually look for solutions to problematic material which impact the on-time launch of engines. Reallocation of piece part/module on in-coming engine material slave for test etc ensuring re-allocation of LLPS meet life requirements.Liaise with material leaders production engineering planning and Gate leaders to ensure effective work flows.Attend/co-ordinate material production meetings to ensure all material issues are communicated to the relevant people liaising with senior management on planning activity.Highlight potential problems as soon as possible to the relevant materials and sourcing leaders and BL.Work with customer platform Production Teams Sourcing ABU/CRW to ensure all possible avenues have been researched to resolve material shortage issues.Adhere to relevant quality procedures.Responsible for issuing run LLPS ensuring life data and power rating history meet engine BTA.Ensure clock stop procedures is adhered to at all times and raised in line with OTR launch for problematic material causing engine delays.Key role in gate 1 closure meetings ensuring material is fully dispositioned before providing override to accept closure on SAP.Qualifications/Requirements:Possess a detailed working knowledge of SAPAerospace materials experience.Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).Demonstrate role flexibility to work within a team environment and use initiative to identify process improvements and make key decisions.Be organized and able to work with other departments to swiftly resolve queries.Previous experience in a Sourcing & Materials role is considered advantageousFlexible WorkingGE supports and encourages flexible working arrangements where possible and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance.Total RewardAt GE Aerospace we understand the importance of Total Reward.
