Ambico Services are a London based managed service provider, experiencing continued growth in the networking infrastructure industry. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Data Cabling Engineer to join our infrastructure team in London. This role will be a field-based role providing onsite data cabling (fibre and CAT6) for our client sites and project services.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Install, test, and terminate CAT6/CAT6a copper and fibre optic cabling, wireless access points, and associated containment.
  • Perform cable pulling, laying, and testing for both copper and fibre optic cabling, including fault finding and proactive resolution.
  • Work with our project management team to ensure adherence to project deadlines.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings to translate into practical work.
  • Report progress, site delays, and issues to project management.
  • Attend site briefings and relay key information and messages to the team.
  • Install containment systems including steel wire cable basket, metal conduit, plastic conduit, and plastic trunking.
  • Ensure all works are carried out according to job sheet specifications and company expectations.
  • Adapt to additional duties as required, within the individual's capabilities and consistent with the role's responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 1 year data cabling experience
  • ECS/CSCS card (preferred)
  • IPAF & PASMA (preferred)
  • Driving (preferred)
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Proactive attitude to improve company and personal development.
  • Willing to learn and develop as an individual.
  • Working in a team environment.
  • Flexible approach to their work and responsive action to issues.
  • Develops excellent customer relationships in a professional manor.
  • Ability to work remotely.
