Maintenance Manager

Hobson Prior is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a role based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day mechanical, electrical engineering & facilities management activities. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on ensuring the availability and reliability of building utilities, services, and manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain a framework for quality performance and improvement within the facilities and engineering area.
- Ensure the availability and reliability of building utilities, services, and manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and manage Good Engineering Practices within the Engineering department.
- Manage the Work Order Management process to drive efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
- Develop a Preventive and Predictive maintenance strategy for all plants, machinery, and infrastructure on site.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
Requirements
- Experience leading a team of Maintenance and/or Electrical Engineers.
- Experience of working within a GMP Engineering/Facilities management team.
- Knowledge of EU/MHRA/HTA/HFEA and FDA regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of Building Services, M&E systems, building fabric and BMS, EMS systems and operation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload.
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills.
- Resilient, flexible and pragmatic, able to learn quickly and respond flexibly to project needs and priorities.
- High degree of motivation, problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
