Whether you have an existing client following or a strong network of business and professional contacts in the Merseyside area this role offers the platform and support to build a successful and rewarding career.For non-partners there are excellent opportunities for promotion to partnership making this an ideal role for ambitious solicitors looking to progress to the next level.The RoleAs a Senior Commercial and Property Litigator you will manage your own diverse caseload of commercial and property litigation matters acting for SMEs across a wide range of sectors institutional clients in the financial sector and commercial property owners and funders.Youll have the autonomy to run your cases from start to finish whilst also taking on some managerial responsibilities for 1-2 team members based in the Liverpool office. This is a client-facing role where your personality ambition and network will be key to developing both your own brand and the firms reputation in the region.Your key responsibilities will include:Managing a varied caseload of commercial and property litigation mattersHandling general commercial litigation including shareholder and partnership disputes warranty claims professional negligence actions contested insurance claims and contract disputesManaging property litigation matters including contested lease renewals dilapidations claims and disputes involving the sale purchase and leasing of propertyActing for SMEs institutional clients in the financial sector and commercial property owners and fundersDeveloping and maintaining strong client relationships and delivering exceptional client serviceBuilding your network of business and professional contacts in the Merseyside areaContributing to business development and the growth of the litigation practiceSupervising and mentoring 1-2 team members based in the Liverpool officePlaying an active role in the strategic development of the practiceAbout YouEssential Requirements:8 years PQE (or equivalent experience)Qualified Solicitor in England and WalesProven experience in both general commercial litigation and commercial property litigationDemonstrable track record of managing your own caseload independentlyExperience acting for SMEs institutional clients and commercial property owners/fundersStrong technical knowledge across a broad range of commercial and property disputesExcellent client care skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationshipsAmbition and drive to develop your personal brand and contribute to the firms growthStrong managerial and supervisory skillsOutstanding communication negotiation and advocacy skillsHighly Desirable:Existing client following (though not essential)Strong network of business and professional contacts in the Merseyside areaBusiness development experience and a proactive approach to generating new workExperience in a senior or leadership role within a litigation teamKey Attributes:Commercially astute with a pragmatic approach to dispute resolutionConfident personable and able to build rapport with clients and contactsStrategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger pictureTeam player who can also work autonomouslyAmbitious and motivated to progress to partnership (if not already at partner level)Whats On OfferOur client is committed to rewarding talent ambition and hard work with a competitive remuneration package and genuine opportunities for career progression.Benefits include:Competitive salary: 70000 - 95000 (dependent on experience and level)Firm-wide bonus scheme for all fee earnersExcellent partnership opportunities for non-partnersHybrid working: up to 2 days per week home/remote workingComprehensive contractual benefits packageAutonomy to manage your own caseload and develop your practiceSupportive and collaborative working environmentProfessional development and career progression opportunitiesModern well-equipped offices in Liverpool city centreAccess to a strong network of business and professional contactsOpportunities to contribute to the strategic direction of the firmAbout Our ClientOur client is a well-established commercially focused law firm with offices in Liverpool and Manchester serving clients across the North West and beyond.
