We are excited to be looking for a Children and Young Person (CYP) Caseworker who will be based from our Ashford office, working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Career Development : Ongoing training and support with opportunities for career progression.About the RoleAs a Children and Young Persons Caseworker your responsibilities will include:Directly or indirectly delivering support to children and young people who have been affected by crime. You will further develop and delivering innovative interventions to address the needs of children and young people who been affected by crime.As a CYP caseworker you will Deliver support to young victims of crime using appropriate service guidance Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness Reduce the risk factors around the young people. Increase protective factors around the young person Increase the young person's resilience level Develop and enhance key stakeholder relationshipsAbout YouIdeally, you will: have a proven track record of successfully delivering services for children and young people and successful youth engagement in a comparable role, however this is not essential as full training and support will be given have knowledge of safeguarding issues relating to children and young people have an understanding and knowledge and an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity knowledge of the current issues for children and young people affected by or experiencing crime, domestic abuse and relationship abuse understand confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of files in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements have knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and VCOP, awareness of the impact of crime including witnesses attending court and giving evidenceAbout UsVictim Support (VS) is an independent charity providing a range of specialist services to people who have been affected by crime across England and Wales.
