A leading enterprise-level physical security systems integrator ( CCTV, Intruder and access control is seeking a CAD Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining CAD drawings, and other related documents. They will have a strong understanding of CAD software and be able to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • An initial understanding of the CAD and BIM process.
  • Manage and support throughout the design process for access control, CCTV and intruder systems.
  • Check and validate designs at their given checkpoints.
  • Use multiple design management systems, for example BIM360.
  • Manage your diary in line with project deliverables, business needs and client needs.
  • Read, produce, and check specifications.
  • Read, produce, and check Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Read, produce, and check all key documents required for a design.
  • Understand the key security systems involved in the business and design world to enable production of compliant designs.
  • Keep up to date and relevant with Security technologies.
  • Regularly research new and changing technologies applicable to Security.
  • Visit site to increase and improve knowledge of real-life environments and installs vs designs on paper.
  • Capture, document, and maintain a lesson identified register, engaging the wider business to support focused delivery.
  • Coordinate and deliver efficiently and effectively with the wider design team to meet stated deadlines.
  • Ensure the completed design meets the standards set out by the business and/or client.
  • Attend all design sync calls externally and internally.
  • Maintain any current or future certifications held.
  • Work closely with other business departments to maintain common standards and common deliverables.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Experience with CCTV, Intruder, Access control

· Autodesk Certified User level of experience or equivalent

· CAD Working with External References

· Working with Dynamic Blocks

· Table/Data Import experience.

· Microsoft Excel

· Bluebeam Revu

· Lenel Architecture

· Network Topology
