Therefore access to your own vehicle is essential.(Enhanced pay rates apply for night and weekend work including a 25% uplift for hours worked between 11pm and 8am (subject to a start time before 6am). These enhancements do not apply to shift workers. Weekend work may attract up to 33% additional pay when part of the contractual working week.)About usOur Childrens Residential Service is expanding and we have exciting opportunities within East Lancashire due the opening of a new home in the area.As a Residential Service we hold strong views and beliefs that our children deserve the very best care and support. With an emphasis on working creatively we promote lots of fun activities for our children inside and outside the homes and ensure that our children and young people are supported to develop in all areas of life.Could you work in a childrens home as part of our night care teamOur children are not able to live safely with their parent(s) or family usually due to adverse childhood experiences and trauma. Residential Support Workers listen and engage our children in 1:1 work around feelings emotions and behaviours and link with other professionals such as social workers schools police and health workers to ensure our childrens needs are met.Night staff have a significant and important role in our childrens homes and work through the night whilst staff are asleep. Night staff are responsible for ensuring the home is secure during the night and should the children wake that they have a friendly face to support them and deal with any issues.What do our children want from youWe encourage our children to participate and get involved in all decisions and recruitment is no different.
