Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical & Instrumentation TechnicianJob ID: 32370Location: HuntingdonSalary: 42813 to 50368 (50k to 60k OTE) Company vanHours: 8:00am to 4:00pm (overtime paid outside these hours)Contract/Permanent: PermanentSite Based/Office/Remote: Site basedStart Date: ASAPBenefits:Competitive salary and annual performance bonusDouble-match pension scheme (max. company contribution 12%)Generous holiday allowance (26 days bank holidays)Flexible benefit scheme incl. private healthcare dental insurance technology plans and moreFinancial protection with 10x salary death in service and financial support if youre unable to work due to long-term illness or injuryExcellent family friendly provisions such as maternity paternity adoption and shared parental leaveProfessional development opportunities inc. financial support to help you cover the cost of professional membership subscriptionsEmployee assistance programme offering free confidential professional counseling 24/7Inclusive supportive and forward-thinking workplaceAbout the roleWere looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical & Instrumentation Operations Technician to join our East area operations this role our Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians carry out maintenance fault-finding and repair activities on electrical control and instrumentation systems to ensure the continuous and safe operation of our gas transmission assets.What do our Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians doOur Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians perform planned preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.Diagnose troubleshoot and repair faults to minimise downtime.Calibrate test and maintain instrumentation to ensure compliance with operational standards.Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians assist with installation commissioning and modifications of E&I equipment.Ensure all work is completed safely in accordance with company policies industry regulations and safety procedures.Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.Support operational teams during planned shutdowns and emergency repairs.Participating in a standby rota once fully trained typically 1 week in every 4 or 5 dealing with various faults.About YouYoull be a safety-conscious Electrical & Instrumentation Technician with a strong commitment to operational excellence. Youll also bring a calm and capable presence to emergency situations.Key Requirements & ExperienceTime-served apprenticeship (or other recognised training scheme) in an electrical or instrumentation disciplineBTEC National Certificate (or equivalent City & Guilds NVQ/SVQ Level 3) in an electrical or instrumentation disciplineWorked in industries including (but not limited to) FMCG the broader utilities military or aviationStrong knowledge of ATEX regulations and hazardous area equipmentStrong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems fault-finding and calibrationFamiliarity with safety management systems and permit-to-work proceduresFull UK car driving licenseIdeally (but not essential) youll possess an in date certificate in any of the following:CompEx EX01 - 04 Hazardous EquipmentC&G 2391 Inspection & TestingC&G 2377 PAT TestingBS7671 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsCompEx EX01 - 04 Hazardous EquipmentAppreciation of systems and equipment associated with other engineering disciplines within the oil and gas (or other similar process) industry - desirableKnowledge of SCADA or control systems - desirable#garyeciYou have been sent this vacancy list by EC&I Partners.
