Client OverviewOur client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join their multidisciplinary design team at their Glasgow office. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience designing electrical building services systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to refine their engineering skills working on bespoke, technically challenging, design and construct projects in specialist and regulated markets, working directly with world leading clients. Role OverviewAs an electrical design engineer your responsibilities will include: Design electrical systems including HV and LV Distribution, Lighting, Fire, Structed Cabling and Security systems with support from senior engineers as requiredDevelop detailed plans and specifications with input from senior engineers as requiredPerform system calculations and select equipment based on project requirementsCollaborate with project teams to ensure design conformance with industry standards and regulationsPrepare construction documents, including equipment schedules, layout drawings and single-line diagramsManage the electrical aspect of projects from design through construction and commissioning RequirementsDegree in Building Services Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in building services designStrong understanding of electrical design principles and industry standardsAbility to think from first principles to develop elegant, efficient and economical design solutionsBasic commercial awarenessExcellent communication and project management skillsProficiency with electrical design software and associated tools, such as Trimble/Amtech, Dialux or Relux, and ExcelWorking knowledge of 2D and 3D drawing platforms including AutoCAD, Revit and BluebeamFull UK driving license BenefitsSalary up to £48,000 per annum (DoE)31 days annual leave (including public holidays)Annual Bonus Scheme (based on Company performance)Life InsuranceCompany PensionEmployee Discount SchemeReferral ProgrammeSubsidised Health Assessments Next StepsIf you're interested in this opportunity, please submit your updated CV or reach out to Lusona Consultancy for a confidential conversation.If this role isn’t quite the right fit but you’re exploring new opportunities, we would be happy to assist you in finding the perfect match.
