An Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" client of ours is looking to hire a new Deputy Head of Engineering to join their Head of Engineering in growing, developing, and supporting their well-funded and modern Engineering Educational team to deliver to the next generation of Engineers.
They are offering a salary of £46,208 per year along with 38 days of paid annual leave and contribute 28.68% of your salary to the Teacher's Pension Scheme every year (worth over an extra £13,000), plus many more generous staff benefits.
Responsibilities:- Work alongside the Head of Engineering who will support your development in an increasingly growing department.
- Support the development of the courses and enhance towards being a centre of excellence.
- Teach, support, and assess students' coursework.
- Oversee Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualifications.
- Plan a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet the local/regional skills requirements.
- Implement the launching of the new T-levels in Engineering.
- Lead, communicate, and coordinate your team, so all students receive up-to-date and correct information.
- Work towards becoming a centre of excellence for green engineering within the region.
- A Level 4 or higher Engineering Qualification OR Industry Experience (Electrical/Mechanical/Aero).
- Experience within teaching OR assessing engineering (2+ years).
- A teaching/assessing qualification.
- A passion for teaching and leading the next generation of Engineers
