We’ve partnered with a product and software business, whose product has a direct impact on ocean emissions. They are currently working with us to hire a Product Designer to own the end-to-end design of their suite of digital products and services.


The business are well established, with clear product market fit and a growing customer base, but a huge scope of opportunity from a digital product perspective, which is exactly where you come in. From a ‘digital product’ perspective, they are heavily B2B, with the products used by customers allowing them undertake tasks ranging from fleet management, to data reporting and staff training – these products exist across desktop and native mobile.


You’ll be reporting into the Director of Product, and collaborating closely with a large Engineering team as you take responsibility for all UX and Visual design aspects of their products. Right now there is a well established Product Roadmap, but you will closely with work the Director of Product on future research and discovery with regard to their roadmap, as well as research and testing with regard to new / improved features and products. On a day-to-day, you can also expect to be involved in:


  • End-to-End UX/Interaction Design, ranging from User Research through to the creation of journeys, flows, wireframes and prototypes
  • Visual/UI Design and prototyping
  • Shaping their design system from the ground-up


You’re likely going to be a great fit for this role if:


  • You have the end-to-end Product Design skill-set mentioned above, likely indexing more heavily on UX and Visual Design (as opposed to research)
  • Have worked on the design of complex B2B products and tools previously
  • Can commute to the Southampton office 3-days per week (This one is essential, and non-negotiable)
