Senior Software Engineer, Back-end (Golang) /Remote-Europe


Kinvr, have partnered with a VC backed AI startup to hire a Software Engineer to join their rapidly growing team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone deeply passionate about software Development who wants to constantly improve. They are genuinely at the forefront of this space and need to hire top engineering talent as their team scales across Product Development and Engineering.


The Team

Their team operates remotely, spanning Europe and North America. They hold monthly team meet ups for three days, typically Monday-Wednesday. The team is a mix of research and engineering experts, all committed to building high-quality systems with solid software development principles. They believe that robust engineering accelerates development cycles, enhancing their collective efforts.


The Role

You will be responsible for designing and implementing their cloud and enterprise platform, this platform is at the heart of their product experience.


Your Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ Years proven experience in building API backends serving large user bases or handling high request volumes.
  • Proficiency with distributed systems, data pipelines, distributed processing, fault tolerance, and performance optimisation.
  • Familiarity with message queues and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Google Pub/Sub).
  • Knowledge of cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure) and storage solutions.
  • Experience with developer experience tools, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization in production environments.
  • Programming proficiency in Go (ideally) but more than open to Ruby, or Python, with additional value for experience in C++
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, as well as monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
