Situated on the outskirts of Solihull and Coventry, we provide Rehabilitation & Recovery services to 31 inpatients over three wards:Arley Ward - 10 bedded male R&R service (level 2)Elkin Ward - 10 bedded male R&R service (level 2)Millison Ward - 11 bedded male R&R service (level 2 – step down)Patients have a primary diagnosis of a Serious & Enduring Mental Illness, with additional complexities such as physical health conditions, substance misuse, and secondary mental health issues.About the RoleThis vacancy for a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist complements our existing medical workforce and has a caseload of approximately 11 R&R patients. Working alongside our established full-time Medical Director/Consultant Psychiatrist, you would lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals from Nursing, Psychology, and Occupational Therapy and a Junior Doctor, who will form part of the MDT. Working hours are typically 2.5 days per week on site; however, how this is structured can be discussed at the interview and we are able to consider flexible working hours.ResponsibilitiesLead a multidisciplinary team of professionals.Participate in governance meetings and R&R Service Line meetings as necessary.Take an active role in service and quality development activities.Participate in the non-residential medical on-call rota with other sites.QualificationsFull registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required.Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).Higher medical qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent).Maintained Section 12, Approved Clinician and Responsible Clinician status.
