You will be joining a supportive friendly and professional team.We are seeking a highly motivated passionate and experienced Sports Ground Safety Officer to join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Council deliver its statutory duties in accordance with the Safety at Sports Grounds Act 1975 and provide specialist advice to the Safety Advisory Group.You will have:knowledge and practical experience in sports ground safety work through a representative role working with sports grounds one of the emergency services building control or council sports ground safetyexperience of the regulatory framework surrounding Sports Ground and Event Safety Managementexperience of attending Safety Advisory Groups to provide professional advice on sports ground concerts and event safetyknowledge and practical experience in enforcementexcellent communication skills (oral and written) at all levels including with residents businesses colleagues and partner agenciesan ability to prioritise and manage your own workload to meet deadlines in a busy environment with competing demandsability to work flexibly including some work outside normal officer hoursThe requirement to drive is essential.
