In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high quality accounting services to a diverse portfolio of SME clients. You will prepare statutory and non-statutory accounts with confidence, apply your knowledge of UK GAAP and work closely with the partners to provide clients with clear, proactive and commercially sound guidance. Your expertise will help businesses understand their numbers, strengthen their decision making and stay compliant in an ever-evolving landscape. You will work directly with clients, manage your own workload and contribute to the firm’s reputation for long standing service and trust. What you’ll do You will take responsibility for preparing annual accounts for partner review, ensuring accuracy and consistency with UK GAAP. You will manage your own portfolio of clients, maintaining strong communication, delivering high standards of service and building long lasting relationships. You will work across a range of SME businesses, applying your technical knowledge to support clients with their accounting needs while contributing to the firm’s broader services in areas such as VAT, bookkeeping, payroll and business advisory support. You will also play an important role in upholding the firm’s commitment to timely, professional and personal service. What you’ll need • At least five years of experience within an accountancy practice • ACCA/ACA Exam qualified or qualified by experience • Strong understanding of UK GAAP/FRS 102 • Experience with accounting software is desirable • A professional, client focused approach and strong attention to detail About the company A well established accountancy practice based in the south side of Glasgow, offering a wide range of services including accounts preparation, taxation, VAT, strategic planning, payroll, bookkeeping, audit and business advisory support. With two partners and a team of twelve, the firm supports a varied client base including limited companies with turnovers up to twenty million. Known for its friendly, family feel and exceptional staff retention, the firm takes pride in offering personal service, long term relationships and a culture where people genuinely enjoy their work. Hours are 9 to 5 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 to 4 on Fridays, with competitive pay and a strong track record of progression.
