Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled DLO Electrician to join our clients housing repairs team based in West London on an ongoing temporary basis - paying £235.75 per day Umbrella. 

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical repairs and installations both internally and externally.

In this role you will work closely with your team to ensure repairs are carried out within the company's cost and quality parameters, while always maintaining health and safety compliance and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to work, and will focus on delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all types of electrical work including installations, repairs, maintenance, fault finding, commissioning, and remedial works, ensuring projects are completed to client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the team's 'one job, one visit' objective by undertaking additional duties in line with flexible working agreements.
  • Plan and organise your work effectively to ensure time, plant, transport, and materials are used economically.
  • Work within a scheduled appointment system, liaising with customers and team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Operate and maintain electrical tools, plant, and equipment.
  • Minimise material waste and manage stock effectively.
  • Supervise and train apprentices and other employees as required.
  • Measure and assess the works required, ensuring accurate pre-measurement and timely completion.
  • Use a company-issued PDA to manage job instructions, complete works orders, communicate with team members, and order materials.
  • Take ownership of repairs, ensuring customer updates and coordination of repairs are handled professionally.
  • Drive company vehicles safely and professionally, ensuring vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Establish positive relationships with tenants, leaseholders, and stakeholders, providing excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with other contractors to ensure repairs are carried out as required, and customers are kept informed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development relevant to your role.
  • Comply with all safety, health, and environmental standards, and report any incidents immediately.
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
  • Qualifications: NVQ3 or city in guilds Electrical installation. Approved electrician qualified to 18 th Edition BS7671
  • Working knowledge of any secondary or general trade skill set
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in responsive repairs in a comparable organisation including delivering services in a customer-focused environment setting.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant trade experience.
  • Proven experience in electrical work including installations, maintenance, fault-finding, and commissioning.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor apprentices or trainees.
  • Full, clean driving license.
