Inspector Pressure EquipmentLocation: Field Based North WestJob Type: Full-time Monday - Friday 8am - 4pmSGS the worlds leading testing inspection and certification company is currently seeking a dedicated and technically competent Inspector to join our Industrial Services this role youll perform inspections across a range of systems on pressure equipment and manufacturers ensuring compliance with UK regulations and European directives.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections on pressure containment equipment in line with relevant UK and European legislationFulfil duties of an InspectorWork independently and safely in the field supporting clients with timely and accurate inspections.Essential Skills & KnowledgeTechnical background in mechanical engineering or hands-on experience in field inspections.Proficiency in IT systems particularly MS Office.Ability to work autonomously adapt quickly and manage changing priorities.Desirable SkillsFamiliarity with pressure and mechanical equipment.Knowledge of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods (ADR) or related industry experience.Experience RequiredProven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining precision and attention to detail.Demonstrable success in fulfilling customer requirements.Experience working both independently and as part of a team.Desirable ExperienceTechnical report writing or documentation.On-site inspection work within the UK.Qualifications : Essential:GCSEs (or equivalent) grade AC including Maths and English.A-Levels (or equivalent) or relevant occupational qualifications.Full and valid Driving Licence to use in the UK.To have or undertake certification in Confined SpacesDesirable:Formal engineering qualifications (e.g. HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar).Additional Information : At SGS we believe in rewarding our employees for their hard work and commitment.
