An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Financial Services Regulatory team of a Silver Circle law firm for a mid-to-senior level non-contentious solicitor to join their offices in London.

This Silver Circle Law firm boasts offices in over 30 locations across North America, Europe, the Middles East and Asia employing over 1,200 lawyers. With global capabilities, the firm offers clients one of the most active M&A, real estate, financial services, litigation and corporate risk practices in the world.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Regulatory lawyer, who is keen make their mark in a well-established and stable practice. You will have the opportunity to lead on client matters and be seen as the go-to Senior Associate/Associate Director for FS Reg expertise within the firm. This role would suit someone looking to establish themselves as the dedicated non-contentious Financial Regulatory specialist at the firm, working alongside the existing team of Financial Services investigations and enforcement specialists.


You’ll also be working with key partners across the Litigation, Corporate and Finance Transactions, and Real Estate practices, providing high quality regulatory law advice to key clients of the firm.

Candidates with particular sub-sector or practice area specialisms will be supported to further develop and grow their practices in a highly supportive team. In particular, experience in payment services and consumer credit would be helpful but are not essential.


Key responsibilities

  • To provide financial services regulatory advice to a broad range of institutions including investment banks, retail banks, investment managers, market infrastructure providers, and FinTechs.
  • Advising clients (both internally and externally) as well as collaborating closely with other teams to achieve the best outcome for our clients.


Skills and experience

  • A minimum of 6 years’ PQE.
  • Experience of advising on a broad range of aspects across financial services regulation, including compliance, perimeter, asset management, regulatory change and transactional support. A strong track record of working on English law regulatory matters.
  • Experience advising UK regulated financial institutions on their regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster strong internal and external relationships.
  • Solid understanding of the drivers of profitability and an interest in developing a broader understanding of commercial issues, the legal market and how they affect the Firm
