In this vital role you will lead and manage a team focused on preventing exclusions and developing inclusive pathways for children and young people. You will ensure the effective provision of advice and guidance on the exclusion process lead the brokerage of Early Help and Family Support with schools and provide oversight of Alternative Provision and Managed Moves. As Inclusive Pathways Manager you will be responsible for: Leading a team to prevent exclusions and develop inclusive pathways ensuring statutory duties are met. Providing advice and support to Sharing Panels and developing strategic partnerships with schools and settings. Disseminating advice and guidance on DfE and Local Authority policies regarding exclusion and statutory requirements. Overseeing the administration of caseloads in relation to exclusion legislation and ensuring proactive promotion of inclusion and behaviour strategies. Retaining oversight of enquiries from parents/carers schools and other stakeholders ensuring a child-centred approach. Ensuring best practice in Behaviour Support and Special Educational Needs Assessment is central to the teams work. Delivering supervision attending relevant working parties and providing training. Liaising with Legal Services and other agencies regarding changes in exclusion legislation. Managing staff ensuring compliance with HR procedures and supporting professional development. We are looking for candidates who: Have a high standard of education particularly in numeracy and literacy and a record of continuing professional development. Demonstrate significant experience in applying statutory guidance planning and prioritising workloads and providing advice in line with statutory procedures. Are skilled in interpreting and translating regulations and legislation and able to deal with confidential sensitive and emotional situations. Show commitment to equality equity and inclusion and act with integrity and professionalism. Are able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and create a positive innovative team environment.
