The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join STV’s Post Production team in a fast-moving and dynamic Post Sound department. You will be servicing internal production, commercial and promotions clients and working as part of a team who deliver high quality and fast turnaround dubbing mixes. Dub mixes are for short-form multi-platform content this should be considered as the first step towards a future in Sound Dubbing and would appeal to a Dub assistant looking to progress their career.  

We’re looking for someone with some experience of Audio Post with a passion for learning and building on experience, tonnes of enthusiasm, a “can do” attitude and a great client-facing personality with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be doing the following:

·      Mixing 'in house' post produced short-form audio content against picture, using Avid Protools Ultimate. Being familiar with Avid S6 Mixing Surfaces would be an advantage

·      Voice over recording with talent, locally in voice over booth, and remotely using SessionLink Pro, and Source Connect

·      Producing Internationally compliant broadcast audio files to DPP (and other) Specifications (Final Mixes and STEMS)

·      Building and maintaining great working relationships with internal stakeholders to provide an efficient service to the business

·      Delivering various audio formats for international distribution

Skills and Experience

Along with sheer talent and enthusiasm for this exciting role in a major broadcasting and production business, working on Promos and commercial content, the below skills and experience would also be beneficial:

·      Experience of short form content for broadcast and streaming

·      A great ear for audio quality with the knowhow to polish it to perfection

·      Understanding of audio formats

·      Understanding and experience of Avid Pro Tools Systems

·      Experience of using and configuration of a Dante Network and Hardware for signal routing would be an advantage

·      A pro-active team player with great communication and ability to use own initiative, and able to overcome obstacles as they arise

·      Brilliant planning and organisational skills

·      Comfortable using Microsoft Packages including MS Teams and Outlook
