Job DescriptionWe are seeking Food Production Operatives to join a growing food manufacturing business in the York area. This is a hands-on role working with raw and cooked products across different stages of the production process with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract after a successful temporary period.Food Production Operative responsibilities:Handle raw meat and load into slicing and seasoning machinesLay products onto racks ready for cookingMove cooked products into smoking and cooling areasOperate machinery to chop and portion products ready for packingWeigh and seal bags using packaging equipmentSupport general production and packing duties across the siteFollow food safety and hygiene procedures at all timesThe right candidate for this Food Production Operative role will have:The ability to drive (essential due to location)Willingness to handle raw meatPrevious experience in a food production environment (preferred but full training can be provided)Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safetyTeamworking skills and a reliable work ethicThis is a full-time temp-to-perm role working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern: 6:00am2:00pm and 2:00pm10:00pm (rotating every two weeks).
