Where possible we support a working pattern that suits your lifestyle and helps you reach your ambitions.Soldering Technicians - we need youPermanent or Fixed Term Contract We have multiple opportunitiesto join our Land and Air Systems (LAS) Optronic business unit as a manufacturing this role you will work closely with existing team members Work Cell Manager and Manufacturing Engineers in delivering the outputs from the relevant work cell as per the business requirements.The roles are based out of our Glasgow manufacturing will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day.Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteenKey ResponsibilitiesTo perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expectedAdhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasksPerform self-assessment and approval of productsInput and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within IndustryAble to detect any fault or non-compliance and if necessary raise the addition when able should contribute to diagnostics and the finding of the cause/root analysisManage and record build configuration of productUse the company tools (ERP Palma etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasksAbout youExperience working in a production or manufacturing departmentsAble to interpret circuit diagrams and identify faults to component levelAbility to Identify and carry out actions required with minimal supervisionPC literate in the use of Microsoft Office Tool setAble to secure SC clearance with no restrictionsDesirableExperience in working within an Industrial / Engineering environment is essential.IPC trained and accreditedAn electrical / electronic qualificationWhat we can offer4 day working weekPension Scheme28 days annual leave (Plus Bank Holidays)Life CoverProgression and Development Opportunities24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing apEmployee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailer#LI-AH1In line with Thales Baseline Security requirements candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
