Job Opportunity: School Chef (Temporary Ongoing Assignment)

Are you a talented chef with a passion for cooking and baking? Do you have experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable School Chef to join their team on a temporary ongoing basis.

Key Details:

  • Position: School Chef (Cook & Baker)
  • Location: Methwold, Norfolk
  • Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Contract: Temporary Ongoing Assignment
  • Requirements: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Pay: £14.50 - £15.50 per hour

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious, tasty meals for students and staff
  • Create a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and breads
  • Follow food safety standards and ensure a clean, safe kitchen environment
  • Assist with menu planning and ensure dietary requirements are met
  • Work collaboratively with the school's catering team to ensure smooth daily operations

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a chef or cook, with strong baking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (mandatory)
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, balanced meals
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills
